Out of this world!

Summer has hit my neck of the woods, can you feel it where you are? We are happy because this means the kids can finally swim but sad because, well, it's so darn hot. We just can't win I guess. lol.

This week I was really excited to do an Outer Spaced theme kit. No aliens in this kit though, my kids are scared of them and with my father and husband as teachers I figured I'd try to keep it more real. Well, as real as cute gets. :) Also they are 20% off this weekend only!

Today is the last day of school for my kids, so crazy! It doesn't even feel like it honestly, it was a "warm" 60s yesterday during my daughter's Kindergarten water party.. and yes despite freezing those kids were running around in that water. Silly kids. Anyways, I hope you are all having a much warmer day and are having fun at that.

This week I went with Karate which is something that my family has no idea what it is except they really enjoy Kung Fu Panda at the movies. Got to love kids right? I do know a lot of people who love it though so this week I take you from white belt to black belt and everything in between. It's an amazing journey that I've learned a lot about while working on this and I hope you enjoy it.

It's Memorial Day weekend here and our house is in full swing of end of the school year parties and looking forward to a lazy summer around the house. We live in the crazy summer heat so heaven knows we will be indoors a lot, so we're enjoying it outside now as we can.

One way my daughter loves spending her time is wearing her ballerina costume around the house, making up an elegant dance for the family to enjoy (well, she is 6 after all). It inspired me for all the ballerinas out there, both the ones who make up their own dancing and those who get to show off their stuff on a stage. Remember this is 20% off this weekend also!

Gosh, we've been on vacation all week (my friend from Pennsylvania came out with her three little kids so with my three we've had a full house.) I hope you are having a great week! Spring seems to be here... although where we live it means it will be cold and hot on and off until one day you wake up to scorching heat that announce summer has arrived... got to love it I guess. Alright, so who do you use to print your amazing scrapbooking goodies? Anyone? I know I was stumped the last two years and not only could I figure out who had the best quality prints but I also didn't know who was reasonably priced (and go figure, spending $100 a pop was too hard for me). Instead I let me layouts pile up in folders, to be hidden on my laptop for only me to see. Well I've finally found a way to get them printed for a set amount a month and I am really happy about it.

I joined Heritage Makers and no, I didn't do it for the heck of it. lol. The basic membership was free so I went with that but recently they started a "club" that I was really interested in. For $50 a month I am getting free access to their amazing collection of kits (a lot from stores I already shop at and love like Sweet Shoppe and ScrapMatters!) I can use any of their kits/items and templates to make a variety of projects. My biggest thrill of course was the fact that I can load my finished layouts that I have held onto and get them PRINTED. I am so excited! I am getting 70 points a month (each point is worth $1) for only $50 and they last from 2 years of purchase. Now if I want to print out my layouts I have a motivation to do it. They had a $30 a month club too which gives me 40 points that I really liked as well... although I have my eye on some canvases for my house at the moment. lol. Honestly, why do I hide my creations on a computer or in cyber space? My kids love to see them, I should print!

Well here's the thing, if you join me in this great publishing club I can even make it better. If you sign up under the $30 a month I'll throw in my own coupon for you for $10 a month to my store to get anything you need to finish off those beautiful layouts. If you join the $50 a month club you get $20 a month coupons from me. So isn't that just the best of all worlds, you get things printed at great quality and you have a designer at your fingertips who can offer anything you may need! I even take requests!

This week I should be excited, the weather has been amazing the last two days and that gets me looking forward to spring. Unfortunately my kids have other ideas and keep getting sick... still... it may never end I tell you. I was hoping to have the flu bug gone but my son has an ear infection just in time for his 7th birthday party weekend (sigh). He's on some strong medicine and we're hoping to move ahead, his bday is Sunday.

Anyways, enough of that. Lately I've been thinking about St Patricks Day and how it's a very memorable day for me the very year my son was born. He was a complicated pregnancy and being my first child it was a little scary at times. He was born premature (2 months) and was in the NICU for a while. I actually left the hospital on St Patrick's Day of that year and while it was so liberating to be outside once again (after many days so sick in the hospital) but it was so hard leaving my baby. Ever year St Patrick's Day rolls around I remember how many emotions we had that day and am grateful I can snuggle my boy and know it worked out okay.

Unfortunately with the big move to a new server SM has had a glitch and will be down for a few days due to this move. They are working like crazy to get this problem fixed soon and I promise to let you know when it will be back up again.

Until then we're still working behind the scenes on fun new goodies (I am quite excited) AND we have the SM birthday coming soon so plenty to look out for. :)

Summer is just flying by isn't it? I know for our family we've had a lot of time home together... which also means I've had time to whip up some amazing goodies for you. :)

First is this amazing collab with Sherry Ferguson! It's beautiful and I'm in love with the colors and feel of it... even if I don't exactly have a green thumb. lol. This kit is huge!

There are some beautiful examples of layouts for this kit in my store.

I also have a camping kit for those who just can't get enough of camping.

Today is the last day of school for my kids and they both graduate... from Kindergarten and Preschool that is. I know... a long way to go but we're still proud of them. That being said I hope you are all having a great day like we are.

This kit was for my daughter and all the other "Fancy" friends out there. She recently was given a "Fancy" book with a fancy girl (named Nancy) and it was so cute! She went crazy and made us all eat dinner "dressed up" and call each other "darling". Well it was a total riot and I figured there had to be other moms out there with fancy little girls.

Sorry I've been so quiet, with the opening at Scrap Matters and a new niece (yay, she's so cute) I've been busy. Not to mention my own three kids have been on spring break and have been keeping me on my toes. First let me start by saying... 6 years ago tomorrow I became a mom for the first time. Alright, I did not drop off the face of the earth! :) First off my baby brother in Chile is alive and doing well as far as we know (someone has reported all in their mission are safe). We are anxiously waiting for him to get electricity again and contact us but we are okay just knowing he is safe. Thank heaven!

An 8.8 earthquake has his Chile and there is so much devestation there. Now I know this may be news to some of you but it's especially important to my own family. See, my baby brother is there for his mission for the LDS church. He's been on his mission 6 months, has 18 more to go. It hit early in the morning and has caused some real problems. Thankfully a lot of buildings are built for earthquakes but this doesn't mean much when an earthquake is that large. Please pray for the people in Chile... we are desperately waiting to hear from my brother. He's only 20.

First of all I snuck this second kit into here last minute so please forgive me, my CT is still in shock over here. lol. Don't forget these are 20% off today only!

First off is this "Got you in Stitches" kit created because I learned to sew this summer and couldn't wait to document it!

Second is this Thanksgiving kit... I know Canada just had theirs and here in the United States we haven't had it yet but what better time to celebrate family and great food? It's also really versatile for Fall photos. Can't beat that!

That's right, we're making a huge mess in my kitchen! :) This kit is a new version of one of my favorite kits and I am just in love with it and so was my CT. Not all could fit into this preview, it was so crammed! Whether you just love cooking or making cookies for the holiday season this kit is perfect.
